MPD: 16-year-old dead after shooting near Cane Creek

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A 16-year-old boy is dead following a shooting near Cane Creek in South Memphis Thursday night.
Around 5:30 p.m., police responded to a shooting at the Cane Creek Apartments off Ragan Street.
When police arrived on the scene, they discovered that one 16-year-old victim had been shot.
The teen was transported to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in critical condition but did not survive his injuries, police say.
Police say the suspect(s) drove from the scene in a black sedan.
No description of the suspect(s) was provided.
